Korrie Sudweeks, certified AFAA instructor and personal trainer, started in Gymnastics at age 10, competing from beginning up through advanced levels and has has been judging competitive gymnastics for 20 years. She began teaching aerobics, step, kick boxing, water aerobics and spinning in the late 80’s. Later falling in love with Yoga and Pilates she became certified in both.

Holding a Iyengar certification from Yoga Works, and a Yoga Alliance registered teacher, now in the process of finishing up her certification in Family Nutrition through Clayton College of Natural Health, Korrie is certified in Pilates Mat through the Physical Mind Institute and Equipment certified through Polestar Pilates, and is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance. Korrie believes in continued education and attends workshops and fitness conventions each year, keeping her education updated. She has trained with and taken workshops from Rael Isowitz, Brent Anderson, Karin O'Bannon, Marie Jose, etc...Her teaching style implements her many modalities into a truly healing experience.

Annette has been a fitness advocate for over 20 years. Working briefly at Gold’s Gym as a personal trainer and nutrition counselor, but mostly keeping fit through various types of exercise including running, biking, aerobics, kickboxing, and numerous “exercise fads” over the years.  Three plus years ago at age 50, she felt a need for a better method of strengthening and flexibility and discovered yoga and Pilates at Korrie’s Pilates Place.  It wasn’t long until the benefits of yoga and Pilates were visible.  She found Joseph Pilates’ method especially fascinating with his theory of strengthening the functional muscles and not just the superficial “pretty” muscles, as well as using breath to oxygenate the muscles while working.  She has spent the last 2 years in the KPP Pilates instructor course, receiving her certificate in February, 2011.  Her goal is to pass the Pilates Method Alliance exam in November, receiving her international designation.  Pilates offers a lifetime of continued education, which she finds exciting and hopes to mirror back to her students, offering methods of rehab as well as continued health and fitness.
